Joru Ka Ghulam is a story of a dominating father, Moazam, who controls every dynamics of the household. Moazam marries a middle class woman Uzma who gives birth to four sons. He forcibly marries all his sons simultaneously with girls of his own choice. Moazam retaliates when he finds out that one of his sons is in love with a girl, therefore he forcibly marry him to a conniving and illiterate girl. None of the sons are confident enough to take a stand against their father; consequently they fail to marry the girl of their preference. Moreover, the sons are encouraged to dominate and persecute the wives, which create chaos in the home and leads to family disintegration. He also ties the knot of his mentally challenged child with a simple orphan girl who finds about his disability after the wedding. She accepts him as a reality of life and abandons her ex-boyfriend for him.
How will Uzmasave her home from disintegration? What would be the fate of each son’s marriage? How will each daughter-in-law survive the unreasonable and strict Moazam?
